|-
||| Long ago, in the dark times of the Great Funkey Wars, it seemed that all was lost. This place, the Perilous Verge, home of the Oni, was besieged on all sides. It seemed as if we were doomed to fall to the marauding horde of the evil King Kahn.
|-
||| As a final effort, I had all the paths leading to the Verge destroyed, isolating my people atop the tallest mountain. I instructed Kane to release the Gauzian Blur, a powerful magic that blurs and obscures, to further shield us. I cut off contact with the other Funkeys tribes, believing that if my tribe was to survive the horde, we would do this alone!
|-
||| As I would come to find, without the help of the Oni, the remaining Funkeys tribes finally united under the great King Funkankhamun. Together they were able to drive back the armies of Kahn bringing an end to the Funkazoic Era, and began the great golden age of Funkeys.
|-
||| With the Perilous Verge shrouded in the Gauzian Blur, and no contact from the Oni, King Funkankhamun believed the Oni had been lost to the advancing hordes. ...The Perilous Verge had become a Hidden Realm.
|-
||| Isolated within our walls, and hidden from the outside world, news of the war's end never reached the Oni. Believing that war still raged right outside our gates, we determined to remain vigilant... And prepared! We built the great Oni Dojo so that all of our warriors could perfect their combat skills in preparation for a great battle we knew would some day come.
|-
||| But constant fighting can get a bit tiresome... And as the years passed with no news from the outside world, I wondered if there was something more to this Funkey existence. So I climbed to the highest point of the forbidden realm, sat under this bodhi tree, built this telescope, and took a look around.
|-
||| What I saw amazed me, and in an instant, I was a changed Funkey. I saw the different tribes of Funkeys now living in harmony. I saw the wondrous things they had built together, and I realized that isolation was not the answer. All the prosperity, all the fighting, all the wealth did not matter if you didn't share it with others. We spent so much time keeping the armies of our enemies out, we lost sight of how to welcome our friends in.
|-
||| I was determined to share this realization with other Funkeys. But of course, you can't become, if you only say what you would've done. Enlightenment can not simply be given, it must be earned. To achieve this, I created the gates and sent my airship to Funkeystown in order to connect with the remaining tribes of Funkeys. I hoped that those Funkeys who could devise how to open these gates would truly travel the path to enlightenment.
|-
||| So now that you've heard my tale, have you realized the enlightenment it is that you've achieved? Yes! You see it now don't you... While each Funkey is different, we are all Funkeys, and only by working together, can we ever hope to achieve anything truly great!. ...Deep huh?, Now if I could just figure out what those confounding mysterious buttons do? Hmm...

Appearance
King Sidd is an Oni, and thus shares most of his design elements with them. He shares their white body, as well as the arrangement of their skin markings and their especially tiny eyes. King Sidd's markings are a light gray color as opposed to red, and he seems to be missing his tusks outright. King Sidd's eyes are always peacefully shut, while a third, much more humanlike blue eye has opened on his forehead, accented with yellow shine marks. This references the idea of opening one's "third eye", considering that Sidd is modeled after a Tibetan monk. He wears nothing but a monk-like draped orange robe that slings over his right shoulder, and his base shape is accessorized with a golden bead necklace. This necklace is seemingly absent from his unreleased figure design.

King Sidd is uniquely posed in a sitting, meditative stance at most times, with his feet curled to the side to mimic a cross-legged stance. He usually floats upon a velvet cushion.

In the past, King Sidd had open, angry eyes, a glimmering golden crown, and no third eye, as he had yet to enlighten himself. He also wore a more complex red set of armor than other Oni, signifying his status.

Story
Long ago, King Sidd became the king of the mountain region known as the Perilous Verge, home to all Oni. It is unknown if Sidd founded this kingdom himself, or simply rose to power in an established region.

When the Great Funkey Wars broke over the land, the Oni were one of many targets of battle from King Kahn and his invasive army. In an effort to shield his people from further conflict, King Sidd instructed his trusted pupil Kane to use a magic known as the Gauzian Blur, which shrouded the Oni's mountaintop fortress in a thick, sightless shroud. After destroying all paths to the Perilous Verge and cutting off contact from the outside world, the land became a Hidden Realm; its trademark dirigibles, and knowledge of the Oni's continued existence, was believed to have been lost to time. The Oni continued to train relentlessly in their dojo, preparing for the event in which the oncoming war might one day dock at their gates again.

King Funkankhamun united the other Funkeys to end the war and begin the Golden Age of Funkeys, but news of this event never reached the Hidden Realm's people. All Oni continued to hone their combat skills day in and day out, a reality that eventually tired King Sidd. Wondering if there could be more to existence, King Sidd eventually scaled to the tallest peak, constructing a magic telescope that could look around the whole of Terrapinia. King Sidd, after countless years, discovered the reality of the outside world, and was so enamored by the united Funkey tribes living in harmony that he became a peaceful, enlightened soul, sprouting a third eye in the process. King Sidd abandoned his crown, appointed Kane as the interim leader of the Oni, and constructed a series of gates up the trail to the peak, hoping that his subjects would understand his "Path of Enlightenment" in an effort to reunite with him.

In-game
King Sidd has been missing from the Hidden Realm for an untold period of time. It was by his doing that the dirigibles leading to the Hidden Realm were put back to use; he recruited the Yang, Raj, Singe, and Bomble to join the Oni Dojo, and docked a ship in Funkeystown that U.B. used to reach the Hidden Realm as well. King Sidd remained secluded to his people, hoping that Kane and the rest of the Oni would understand his wisdom.

King Sidd's gates require different Funkeys to be opened. Every distinct Funkey- rarities included- can count for the up to 10 Funkeys necessary to unseal each gate. Funkeys can be repeated if they were used to open previous gates. Behind each gate is a small chunk of the path, which tends to feature new games that any Funkey can play. Behind the final gate is King Sidd himself; talking to him initiates a cutscene in which he explains the lore and history of his people, and he presumably resumes his duties as king afterwards.

Trivia
* King Sidd lived through multiple eras of history, and is presumably older than Kane. This means that he is one of the oldest confirmed major characters, if not the oldest.
|-
||| As I would come to find, without the help of the Oni, the remaining Funkeys tribes finally united under the great King Funkankhamun.
Hmm...
The Oni, despite being special characters, almost completely follow the traditional figure of a Funkey tribe. They have white skin, accented with red marks around the chin, cheeks, and toes. The Oni have tiny, beady, circular eyes, above a thin flat mouth that stretches all the way across their face. Two long tusks extend from their mouth and go over the red midsection of their face. All Oni wear red bushido armor, and the red and gray shoulder pads and dark gray studded clubs they are equipped with are the only factors that accessorize their shape. Oni are only seen coming in different colors in the specific cases of Kane and King Sidd, who are also Oni themselves.

Story
During the times of the Great Funkey wars of the 3rd Funkazoic Era, the Oni, under the rule of King Sidd, defended their homeland- the mountain kingdom known as the Perilous Verge- by fighting tooth and nail against the invading forces of King Kahn. At an unknown juncture in the war, King Sidd made the decision to isolate his people by shrouding the whole mountain range in enchanted fog, thus making the Verge into a self-proclaimed Hidden Realm.

By the events of the game, Kane, temporarily in charge of managing the Oni, was left on the lower rung of the Hidden Realm to continually train the Oni for the hypothetical event in which the war returned to their homestead. After years of silent isolation and relentless combat training in the Oni Dojo, the Oni population had believed themselves to be the last Funkeys around. When King Sidd sent out his dirigible to begin bringing Funkey warriors to his homeland, Kane and his Oni subjects became immediately apprehensive, and sought to test U.B.'s mettle in the Oni Dojo.

While the Oni themselves never get a speaking role, they are featured alongside Kane in all of his cutscenes, and follow his and King Sidd's will loyally; once Kane begins to respect U.B.'s fighting skills, the Oni follow suit, and pose no additional threat.

In-game
The Oni are enemies the player can fight against in Funkey Fighters. They have unique skills, such as a stampede attack in which multiple Oni are summoned. It is not officially possible to play as an Oni, as a figure was never properly prototyped or implemented; however, hacking the game does make it possible to use an unfinished playable Oni, with some UI glitches.

Kane is a character who acts as a guide to the Hidden Realm, serving as the zone's deuteragonist. He also acts as an enemy who will occasionally challenge the player.

Appearance
Kane appears almost identical to the Oni, but with some key differences. Kane's body is white, but with dark grey patches instead of the red-colored marks of a normal Oni. He wears less clothing, as he has no armor or shirt on. He instead has long red gloves, and a red belt with ornate yellow embroidery. Kane's teeth are significantly shorter than an Oni's as well.

Kane wears a large red and grey samurai helmet with yellow accents and a gold emblem on its front. The helmet has two large red stag beetle horns on top. Beneath this helmet, Kane has a small tuft of orange hair. Removing the helmet is also the only way to see Kane's eyes, though he is never seen with them open. Kane also carries a red and silver blade with him; this weapon almost entirely consists of a massive silver bladed wedge, with a segment removed to feature a small red handle to grip onto.

In-Game
A member of the Oni tribe, Kane is the most powerful combatant of the Oni Dojo. He also leads a team of Oni fighters who currently reign as the undefeated champions of the Dojo (even though they have only ever fought each other).

After the departure of King Sidd, Kane was appointed as the interim leader of the Oni, a fact Kane seems to take great pride in. However, he and his subjects do sorely miss their rightful ruler, and he is ultimately willing to follow U.B. if it means finding the king's location.

Kane first appears to the player after they leave the dirigible and enter the Hidden Realm. Kane gives U.B. a small introduction to the realm and its Dojo, but underestimates the visitor by boasting about the Dojo's exclusivity; he further antagonizes the player by serving as an overworld enemy. As the player approaches the gates, Kane shows a humbler side, and describes how King Sidd created the gates after he ascended the mountain and left Kane in charge. Kane drops his gruff voice for a moment to speak more sensitively about his distaste for the gates' architectural design, but resumes his boisterous speech mannerisms afterwards. Kane and the Oni have been unable to surpass the gates, as they fail to understand King Sidd's message, and were incapable of destroying them with brute force.

When U.B. is caught by Kane while he roams the overworld as an enemy, Kane will challenge them with a game of rock-paper-scissors. Kane seems to be the most fair of the zones' enemies, as he allows the player to choose how many Coins they will bet. Kane's game is a best of three challenge, and if you win, he will give you the same amount as your bet. Of course, the inverse is true if Kane wins.

Kane also appears as the hardest enemy in the Oni Dojo. After the player defeats Kane in Funkey Fighters with all six of the Hidden Realm's tribes (Singe, Raj, Yang, Bomble, Nectar, and Maul), he rewards the player with the Hidden Realm Gem, respecting U.B.'s strength and pacifying his and the Oni's hostility. He was given the Gem for safekeeping by King Sidd, but the Gem makes his head itch as he keeps it in his helmet, and Kane does not even know what the artifact does.

In the second story on the Wendy's Disc, Kane is the first of the characters U.B. approaches when looking for a hat to wear to spruce up their style. Kane boasts that his stag hat was earned as a result of his victories in combat, and urges U.B. to begin fighting him. U.B. declines in fear, and Kane laughs it off, but insists that U.B. come back soon for a battle.

Trivia
* Kane and the Funkiki Natives are the only enemy characters that are revealed not to be evil.
Con, ever the unreliable salesman, advertises one of his "best cars," which is so great that "owning one is like owning two." He warns U.B. not to take sharp corners with it. The Pineapple King is a Funkiki Native, and thus shares their stocky yellow body style. They share the same skirt as Natives, but lack their face paint. Instead, the Pineapple King has a giant tiki hat adorned with red, dark red, orange, yellow, and white feathers.

Story
Warning: Spoilers are ahead!

The Pineapple King, before the events of the game, was appointed as the leader of the Funkiki Natives. Fishing up a pineapple during his coronation, the King gained his title as a result. During the Great Disaster, the Funkiki Island portal's Gem somehow found its way into the island's volcano, wholly intact.

The magic of the Gem caused the Volcano to become active and unpredictable. In an effort to appease the culture's volcano god, the Pineapple King secluded himself and his tribe behind a gate, and sent out his people to steal Coins from touring Funkeys, spilling the stolen gold into the volcano as an offering. When the Gem was discovered by U.B. and Jerry Pearl, it was retrieved, soothing the volcano and removing the King's need to sacrifice Coins to the volcano's mouth. He remains peaceful afterwards.

In-game
The Pineapple King remains idle in his outpost, which can only be reached by finding the coconuts hidden around the map, reached with the items claimed from Funkiki's game rooms. The Pineapple King initially demands a golden pineapple as an offering to allow U.B. into the Native's village; after viewing this cutscene, a golden pineapple can be claimed from coconut trees around the map, and showing it to the king ends the story.
Unlike Funkeys, Natives have small, vaguely triangular torsos with no proper head. They have a Funkey's style of feet, but their arms are simple nubs. Natives have beady eyes, orange war paint on their cheeks, and red painted eyebrows. Red and orange feathers adorn the top of their head. They wear a straw skirt, and are commonly adorned with a large spear and a tiki mask shield.

Story
Natives, in the far, far past, were the dominant intelligent race, long before the advent of the first Funkeys. While their true species name remains unknown, Natives had become so intelligent, had explored so much of the world, and had developed such powerful technology that they came to desire a new world to call home. Gathering on the island where they first evolved, all Natives gathered onto a single space ark, but a few had to remain behind to help launch the ship using the power of the island's volcano. These last remaining Funkiki Natives returned to their natural roots and developed a tribal culture, while their abandoned civilization fell to obscurity and ruin.

By the events of the game, the Natives are led by the current Pineapple King, who has grown concerned about the unpredictable toiling of the volcano that their village is built around. Assuming that their culture's volcano god is angry, the Natives were ordered to pilfer Coins from Funkey tourists, taking them to the mouth of the mountain to feed the currency into the magma. When the agitated volcano was revealed to have been the work of the stray Funkiki Gem, the Natives no longer had a reason to steal Coins, as their culture deals in coconuts instead.

In-game
Natives are the roaming enemy of Funkiki Island. A minigame is started if U.B. is caught by one, usually resulting in coins being stolen.

When the story of Funkiki Island is resolved, no Natives roam around as hostile enemies. All Natives remain as NPCs in their outpost at the highest peak of the island.
Master Lox is the main antagonist of U.B. Funkeys. He is the presiding villainous force over every zone except Royalton Racing Complex, Hidden Realm, and Funkiki Island.

Appearance
Master Lox initially appears to be nothing more than a wicked cloaked figure standing at double the stature of any other Funkey, wearing a silver keyhole mask with red eyes and angry eyebrows. His attire is known to blend into shadows, and whisks along the ground just as silently, allowing him to continually make his escape each time he is thwarted.

When all four Gems are restored in the base game's four zones, the ensuing events cause Master Lox's disguise to be busted, at last revealing his true identity as Dr. Tinker- or at least, half of his soul- with the same recognizable green skin, receding white hair, and lab coat. However, his new villainous persona and horrible injuries caused by the Great Disaster required that he mechanize half of his face with an iron plate, giving him an artificial eye reminiscent of a Henchman's searchlight. His other visible eye, revealed to be quite small without his spectacles, has an angry eyebrow, and is lashed with a horrible white scar.

History
Dr. Tinker and Mayor Sayso grew up as brothers in Paradox Green. Where Sayso was born with a penchant for leading and speeches, Tinker gravitated to the sciences, becoming the chief Funkey engineer, and accomplishing a number of great successes (as well as embarrassing failures). While some of his creations, like the Sprocket, the Maul, and Oasic (a failed eyedrop that dried out the eyes of all Tank) would fail to achieve what he had hoped, Tinker's claim to fame came in the creation of the Portal system. Combining the workforce of Funkeys united by the Great Funkey Wars, notably the Xener, and powering the contraptions with crystal Gems, the incredible new form of transportation was a success, and Funkeys were free to warp between various stations across the planet at will. Tinker was, even then, unhappy with making Portals only to places that exist, and, when positing why there weren't Portals to places that didn't exist, constructed a Dream Machine to bring to life Daydream Oasis, a new landscape forged of the good dreams of all Funkeys. Accidentally, an opposing landmass, Nightmare Rift, came about as its complement. Funkeys tribes like the Tank quickly moved to Daydream Oasis to enjoy what it could offer, while feared tribes like the Vlurp stationed themselves in Nightmare Rift. Dr. Tinker created the Portals by harnessing the In-Between, though only Angus is credited as actually having been able to explore it. This makes Dr. Tinker unintentionally responsible for creating Funkey Familiars, who manifest in the In-Between after cells from teleporting Funkeys get left behind.

Dr. Tinker, unbeknownst to anyone, was a complex, two-sided Funkey with equal amounts of genuine love and passion for his people as he was a greedy, reckless mad doctor. Prompted, at some point, by a thirst for power, Dr. Tinker removed the Gems from the Portal system and attempted to flee with them using the main station. Attempting to teleport all of the Gems back through the systems they were already powering created an energy feedback loop that devastated the Portals and fried their systems rapidly; the entire system, and all the Gems powering it, erupted in a worldwide destruction event that came to be known as the Great Disaster. While some Gems, like Funkiki's, remained intact, most Gems split into shards, and all Gems were ultimately lost, as was Dr. Tinker. The event, unbeknownst to anyone, had split the scientist into distinct halves. The sweet and genuine side, naming himself Doc, returned to his homeland to tend to the Gnomon Tree. His villainous side, harboring disdain for the uniqueness of Funkeys and demanding total control and order, hid his disfigured face under the mechanical suit of Master Lox.

Master Lox, as of the events of the game, commands his army of Henchmen from the shadows, evading capture every time U.B. completes a realm's Gem and destroys the patrolling Henchmen. He can no longer flee once all four areas are cleared, however, and Mayor Sayso and his Funkey resistance force finally corner him in Funkeystown, unveiling his disguise and learning his backstory. Tinker escapes capture before he can be made to unseal the Portals and game rooms, vanishing in an unknown orange Portal somewhere in the city. At some point before or after this, he filled Paradox Green with the Henchmen 2.0, and turned two Gems into the illusory minions Dali and Goya to patrol Daydream Oasis and Nightmare Rift respectively.
Henchmen are lightly color-coded based on the region they patrol; each one features a glowing searchlight, or "eye", and a capital letter H on their chests, which change color depending on the Henchman's designation. Purple Henchmen patrol Funkeystown, red Henchmen patrol Magma Gorge, blue Henchmen patrol Kelpy Basin, and green Henchmen patrol Laputta Station. These colors correspond to the zones' Portals and Gems.

Story
Henchmen were created by the villainous Master Lox to carry out his wicked goals remotely. Henchmen are deployed across various zones, serving the primary function of patrolling the streets and "taxing" Coins from Funkeys by zapping them with their searchlights and robbing them of a number of their Coins in the process.

When one of the four base-game zones has its Gem restored, its great power causes a Henchman's systems to gravely malfunction, destroying them in the process. The remains of the Henchmen are then either disposed of or scrapped for other uses. By the time Master Lox's identity is revealed, and the four Gems are restored, the Henchmen are presumably gone for good, though a 2.0 model of the red Henchmen would later appear in Paradox Green.

When placing the Henchman figure on the hub, U.B. is able to use a costume to appear identical to a Henchman. U.B. is able to steal coins from wandering Funkeys while in this disguise, and can enter the Villain's Den, one of Master Lox's outposts, and presumably the base where the Funkeystown Henchmen operate from.

In-game
Henchmen serve as the wandering enemies of all four base game zones. Being caught by one in old versions of the game immediately caused the player to lose Coins; in later updates, Henchmen- and other zone enemies like them- now initiate a minigame which can help the player lose less Coins based on their luck. Henchmen stop patrolling a zone when its Gem is completed.
Jerry Pearl has a basic yellow body and a traditional Funkey shape. he wears an open red beach shirt with white flower patterns, a wide straw hat, and has thin gray hair that falls around the sides of his head, as well as in a goatee under his smirking mouth. Jerry's eyes are different sizes, and he wears loose red glasses under them, which are part of his figure's paint job, but are rendered separately in game renders. Jerry also wears sandals.

Story
Jerry Pearl was a visitor to Funkiki Island when the Great Disaster occurred. Stranded on the island with no way to teleport anywhere else, Jerry became a professional beach bum; he developed a close relationship with the Funkey tribes living there, becoming particularly skilled at their games. His skill in the Nibble's pearl diving activities earned him the Pearl surname.

When Jerry was presented with the ability to return to his home, he decided to remain on Funkiki Island, and serves as a tour guide to Funkeys like U.B. who visit for the first time. He follows U.B. around, commenting on any successes that the player has in earning each tribe's special item, which allows all of the hidden coconuts to be collected. When Jerry and U.B. find themselves in the presence of the Natives and their king, Jerry reveals that he speaks their language, serving as an interpreter for U.B. When it is revealed that the volcano has become agitated due to the presence of the Funkiki Gem in its magma, Jerry Pearl comes up with the idea to use all four tribe items to retrieve the Gem from the volcano, though his only contribution is to eat from the Nibble's chum bucket while U.B. grabs the Gem.

After the volcano soothes, the Natives no longer desire Funkey currency for volcanic offerings. Once Jerry is made aware that the Natives exchange coconuts as currency, he realizes that since he, too, forsook Coins in lieu of coconuts, he is now, by Native standards, rich. He presumably begins living a lavish lifestyle in the volcanic peaks alongside the Natives.

In-game
Jerry Pearl only appears in cutscenes, outside of his playable role using his figure from the Funkiki Adventure Pack. He introduces U.B. to the island, and praises the player for their skills when the score threshold is met to unlock each tribe's special item.
The Henchman 2.0 resemble Magma Gorge's red-accented Henchmen. Significant upgrades have been made to the build of the robot's body, however; the Henchmen 2.0 are significantly more humanoid in nature, with a body shaped like a padded business suit, and arms and legs built thickly from black and silver metal. The machine's back has additional searchlight heads resembling cannons or capsules. The overworld sprite is noticeably squished to be shorter so that it fits the usual size of a character sprite. There are no known additional colors of Henchmen 2.0.

In-game
Presumably after Master Lox's original makes and models of Henchmen were rendered out-of-commission by the completion of the purple, red, blue, and green Gems, the new and improved Henchmen 2.0 were released upon Paradox Green, with the express purpose of tarnishing the Gnomon Tree and preventing the native Funkeys from stopping Lox's plans.

Some Henchmen 2.0 roam the map and steal Coins when the player is caught by them. Others stand idly by as they guard the Gnomon Tree, and can only be removed when the four special items are gathered from the tribes of Paradox Green. Each item destroys groups of Henchmen 2.0 upon interacting with the guard that stands in the same season-sector as the game room the item came from.

Story
Marshall is the guide for Daydream Oasis and Nightmare Rift. In both stories, he leads U.B. into the zone, warning them of the dangers and explaining what Funkey tribes live there. In both zones, the roaming enemy, Dali and Goya respectively, soon appear and attack Marshall. Dali successfully lulls him to sleep, and Goya attacks Marshall with his terrible breath.

Marshall is absent for the majority of the player's stay in the Dreamstates. By using the loops and feathers collected in a Funkey's game room, however, Dali and Goya can be fought back against. Both enemies will destroy the first Dreamcatcher used against them, but Marshall will order U.B. to use the next Dreamcatcher if possible; the second Dreamcatcher will always defeat the enemy for good.

Marshall bids farewell to U.B. when Dali and Goya are both defeated. He claims he has questions that he wants answers to, which involves him pursuing Master Lox alone.

In the second Wendy's Disc story, Marshall is asked by U.B. to lend his hat. Marshall explains that his one-of-a-kind hat was made specifically for him, and has some significance in his vigilante justice-seeking. Marshall warns U.B. that by wearing his hat, foes may mistake U.B. for himself, burdening U.B. with Marshall's responsibilities and enemies. U.B. understands the risks, and dejectedly leaves.

Trivia
* Marshall initially took on a more human-like appearance, looking nothing like a Funkey.
* Marshall was going to have a lighter counterpart for Daydream Oasis. However, this was cut.

Angus Funkwell is a recurring character in U.B. Funkeys. Introduced in the Funkey Trunk expansion, Angus introduces the player to the mysteries surrounding the Funkey Trunk, the portals, and the Keystones.

Appearance
Angus is a yellow Funkey with short yet wild grey hair, as well as a white beard that reaches the ground. He wears a pair of light blue goggles with two large lenses and three smaller lenses attached to them. Angus also wears a long blue robe that falls to his feet, as well as a tall backpack that extends well above his head. In cutscenes, Angus speaks with a thick Scottish or Gaelic accent.

In-Game
Angus appears in every zone (except for the Royalton Racing Complex), appearing within steps of wherever the player enters the zone. He tends to randomly wander around without straying far from that spot.

Upon first interacting with Angus, a small cutscene plays where he describes himself as a "fearless explorer, scientific genius, part-time wizard, and salesman extraordinaire." He also states that he was the only Funkey to enter the "in-between," the space within the portals that is normally closed off to passengers. Angus explains that he has dedicated his life to researching the possibilities unlocked by the in-between's disregard for the laws of science, and states that he has set up his lab there. He then offers the player their Funkey Trunk so they can access Angus's Lab.

The player next meets Angus at his manor, where he shows the player the one thing that he cannot find any more of: a Keystone. Explaining the circumstances of its discovery, he describes that it was given to him by a Familiar that looked just like him, and that he has not seen that Familiar since. He also states that, in addition to his research, he is somewhat obsesses with the discovery of these Keystones.

Trivia
* Angus, Dr. Tinker, the Oni, and the Henchmen 2.0 are the only major characters to not have a figure released or designed.
* According to Jeff Bruneau, an employee of Mattel who worked on the game, a figure for Angus was planned, but never developed or prototyped.
