The Hidden Realm is a town located on a tall mountain far away from civilization. The architecture is largely based on Asian cultures, such as those of China and Japan. A series of steps leads up to the secluded peak of the mountain. Each set of steps is closed off by a gate. Each gate can be opened by standing a certain number of unique Funkeys at its base. The first requires 3, the second 5 the third 7, and the final 10.

At the mountain's base is a small village. This area contains the [[Oni Dojo]] and the dirigible to [[Funkeystown]]. Near the dojo, there is a tree where one can write a wish on a paper crane.

Kane, Oni, Enlightening Path, King Sidd, some telescope thing, the end.
Upon arriving to the Hidden Realm for the first time, U.B. is greeted by the boisterous Kane and his cantankerous Oni warriors. Kane proudly announces that he is the interim leader of the Oni while awaiting King Sidd's return, and mocks U.B. indirectly by stating that only Funkey warriors- like the newly-arrived Yang, Singe, Bomble, and Raj- may enter the renowned Oni Dojo to do battle with the Oni and himself.

As of the 5.0 update, the Nectar and Maul join the warriors of the Hidden Realm, attempting to settle their tribes' feud.

Kane will respect U.B. if all 4 (6, as of Update 5.0) playable Funkeys defeat him in Funkey Fighters. He rewards U.B. with the area's Gem, though this is not a vital element of the realm's story.

When approaching the sealed red gates at the edge of the mountain's first layer, Kane sulks that he cannot open them, even through his and the Oni's brute force. There are multiple gates blocking different layers of King Sidd's Path of Enlightenment, each requiring more and more Funkeys to open. The final one requires 10 distinct Funkeys, and King Sidd is meditating behind it. When spoken, to, he explains his past, and his motives for sealing himself away.

During the Great Funkey Wars of the 3rd Funkazoic Era, the Oni, led by King Sidd, defended their mountaintop kingdom named the Perilous Verge from King Kahn and his invading troops. Fearing that the battle would soon be lost, King Sidd ordered Kane to shroud the mountains in a cloudy, obscuring magic called the Gauzian Blur, while King Sidd destroyed all paths to the now-hidden realm, and deactivated the dirigibles used to transport Funkeys to and from the area. King Funkankhamun united Funkeykind and ended the war, but only after the Oni cut off all contact, and both the Oni and the outside world presumed each other lost to the war.

The secluded Oni tribe made the Oni Dojo to forever battle each other and train for a battle they presumed would one day return to their doorstep. King Sidd eventually grew tired of this routine after an untold number of years. He climbed to the tallest peak in the Hidden Realm and constructed a telescope to see what the outside world looked like after all this time. Observing that Funkeys outside the Hidden Realm not only survived, but united, an enlightened King Sidd changed his personality greatly, becoming more monk-like in nature. He sealed himself behind his Path of Enlightenment and sent out his dirigibles to recruit Funkey warriors, hoping to teach his Oni subjects to accept the outside tribes and experience the same enlightening joy as he felt.
