== Story ==
When the Portal to Daydream Oasis is restored, Mayor Sayso explains to U.B. how the Dreamstates came to be, as Dr. Tinker aspired to make portals to realms that "didn't exist," creating new worlds out of dreams and nightmares in the process. Mayor Sayso has recruited Marshall to protect U.B. in Daydream Oasis, as Master Lox has released a new minion there; after Marshall introduces U.B. to the realm's four tribes, they are soon encountered by this new enemy, a hypnotic flower named Dali. Marshall is lulled to sleep, leaving U.B. to defeat Dali.
Using loops from Nightmare Rift and feathers from Daydream Oasis, a total of 4 Dreamcatchers can be built. The first one used on Dali fails, as the foe destroys it; the second, however, defeats him for good. Marshall remarks that Dali was just an illusion made of dreams.
After both Dali and Goya are defeated, Marshall leaves to pursue Master Lox on his own in search of answers.

* The Fractal Sea contains references to several famous optical illusions. First is the Necker Cube, which is a cube that gives no visual queues for its orientation. Another is the Penrose stairs, a square-shaped set of stairs which infinitely loops despite being connected to itself.

* The upper-left corner of the map features a heavenly staircase guarded by a fuzzy brown creature called "goon" in the files. Interacting with the goon makes it laugh at you, and the stairs behind it do not have an actual destination, though an interview after the game was canceled revealed that the stairs would lead to a small area- akin in some way to Angus Manor- in some kind of "expansion pack," possibly the unreleased Adventure Pack pertaining to the Dreamstates characters.
