Kooties

Kooties are small symbiotic creatures native to Funkiki Island.

Description

Kooties are small insect-like creatures with orange bodies. They have large, shiny black eyes, and tiny, spherical mouths. Their whiskers, ears, and face are yellow. Kooties use their strong, prehensile whiskers to scoop up sludge and grime, and pat it down onto surfaces.

Kooties were reintroduced to the Terrapinian ecosystem after the portal to Funkiki Island was restored. They are responsible for Funkeys getting dirty. However, this is seen by them as an act of love and friendship, so they mean no harm to Funkeys. However, the use of soap has been shown to kill the Kooties, leading to the Dyer tribe abolishing the act of bathing.
