When U.B. enters Paradox Green, Doc immediately introduces himself, and explains his role as the caretaker of the Gnomon Tree. He also exposits that Master Lox's new Henchmen, a 2.0 model with a bulkier, more imposing build, have been attacking the tree, causing the four seasonal segments of Paradox Green to begin drifting apart. Were all four to separate, the four opposing "ideas" of each tribe in the zone will no longer be able to mingle with each other. Doc entrusts U.B. to fight back against the Henchmen 2.0. | |||
Each item obtained by playing the games of the tribes in Paradox Green can destroy some of the robotic minions. The Tadd's tonic causes the Henchmen to cry, rusting their joints. The Rastro's miniature black hole jettisons some into space. The Mulch's windmill blows them away. The Ace's jetpack allows U.B. to attack them from the sky. Once all four items destroy their quadrant's selection of mechanical minions, the Gnomon Tree is saved, and Paradox Green- while not drifting any closer together- is saved from ruin. Doc then explains that he is the good half of Dr. Tinker, while his altar ego is his villainous side- the two sides to the doctor split apart during the Great Disaster, and Doc has been taking care of the Gnomon Tree ever since, as he and Sayso grew up there. | |||
