Prototype

A prototype Funkey is a Funkey that has previously only been shown at public events such as Toy fair or Comic con. They may appear shoddy, with smudges or damaged art work, appearing to some as fake until proven otherwise. Most prototype figures have actual character chips underneath their feet while, some have circular magnets instead. While most of the existing prototypes are still missing, recently some have popped up in the collections of private collectors online in the Discord and Reddit communities. Where these figures went after the events they were shown in is mostly unknown, they disappeared only to show up again in Ebay listings in 2009, 2010, 2012, and more recently in 2020.
